  1.    Welcome to collection 1 of Watermark Images, a series of backgrounds and textures!

  3.    I am one of those graphic artists obsessed with collecting fonts, clipart and background images. While building my own library, I've created several images that I think are unique and hopefully idea-generating to others too. Good collections of this kind are somewhat expensive out there, so here is my entry into the Great Sea of Shareware.

  5.    All the images in each collection are 480 x 480 x 256 colors.
  6.    
  7.    In deciding on the size and color depth of the images in the collection, my concern was to have several images on each disk yet have them be large enough to be useful to you. I will consider providing larger/higher resolution/24 bit color images for an additional fee if the response is great enough, and will send that information to those who register.

  9.    There are lots of ways you can use pictures like these - besides 'as is' for backgrounds in an ad or presentation. They are fun as bitmap fills in paint or drawing programs. Using a tracing program on them can create entirely new types of pictures. I think they really look great when converted to grey scale, and as textures for those that have painting programs that support underlying paper textures. You can also save the color palette from a picture you like and use it for other pictures.

  11.    To those of you who wish to use these images professionally, I am asking a $10.00 registration fee. Additional collections (each containing 8 images) are also $10.00 each. I currently have five collections in this series, and am releasing this first collection as shareware. I welcome any comments, suggestions or inquiries.
